Sweet Justice

A friend heard of a workcover bloke in Queensland being pulled over by the the local highway patrol for 66km/h in a 60km/h zone.
He tried to talk his way out of the fine but the police wouldn't budge. "Are you sure you want to book me? It could be an inaccurate speedo."
No good.
He copped a $100 fine. Then he issued both officers with $500 fines apiece for failing to wear a reflective vest whilst on duty.

If it is circulating as a joke - Ho Ho Ho. Otherwise I have some concerns about the facts of the matter.

Qld Workplace Health and Safety Officers don't have any power to issue an on-the-spot fine.

Qld Police don't have to wear reflectorised vests at any time.

There is a Policy that recommends they do, but you can't fine anybody for disobeying a policy.
