Hey

Sphell in the car cleaning thread you mentioned buying the liquid silicone stuff that tyre dealers and detailers use. Can you tell me the name of this product and where I can get it please ?

Also, is there anything I can buy that I can use on the EA to give it a nice new shine? What do detailers use?

Hey sundeep, the shit to get is DIAMOND FINISH (polyglaze) ive found it works a treat,but any good polish will do the job.

Westkoast is right, any good polish will do a good job. It's hard to distinguish between brands. At the moment I'm using Meguiars Gold Glass polish, it comes in a thick waxy paste. And I must admit that stuff gives a damn good shine, better than your average polishes. It's pretty pricey though, $36 or something at Autobarn.

Use a polish on it to get it nice, then regularly wax the thing. I've been waxing every second time I've washed it for the past 3 months and every time I wax it, it gets better and better. If only I didn't have those ****ing dents all over it :mad:

sundeep, i dunno the name of the stuff detailer's use but it comes in a 5ltr tin and it's pure silicon. Bloody unreal stuff. Costs about $50 for 5ltrs so go halvies with a mate.

I use Gold Class wax on my car too. It's the best thing I've ever used on the paint. The only thing that looked better is the 100% pure canuba wax the detailers used....but you can't apply this stuff by hand. because it's pure wax it's flaky and has to be put on with a buffer...then the heat from the buffing kinda melts it so it spreads. It looks bloody good but it washes off if you use car wash. they recommend only using water to wash your car if u get it waxed with the canuba wax.

Hell yeah - can't go past the Meguires Gold Class. Clean with Meguires Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner first and that is about as good a finish as possible by hand I think.
