sponsors ad

i've been on the forum this afternoon now for about 30 minutes and i've got to say that advertisement is very annoying.
each time i move to a new section THAT ad is right there in my face. now i understand that the forum needs sponsorship but surely it could have been done in a more subtle way.
anyone else feel the same way?

No :s6:

Sorry, fact of life, it's their system, hopefully they're getting more $$'s for making it more prominent.

Unfortunately what keeps sites like this and ours alive is sponsorship. Without sponsorship the cost is too overwhelming for the cost of hosting and bandwidth. It also makes it very difficult to offer things such as stickers, tshirts and merchandise when the initial cost is out of the "site owners" pocket.

Different ways of advertising of course offer more money to the site owner so this i presume is the reason for the larger site ad. This simple annoyance as you call it will bring much better things from the site in time to come..

I whole heartedly agree that the ads are annoying but I also understand how important it is to the site hence I didn't say anything.
