Sports Stars are picky

well the title maybe alittle broad but has anyone noticed since the Austrailian Golf Open was cancelled that it has been getting alot of press coverage?? What i don't understand is that these 'professional' golf players are saying they can't perform if the conditions are not perfect??

well i am sorry my game has little to be desired but under perfect condtions i could probably have a great game. does this mean i can be a pro????

and when things arn't what i want i can have a go at someone instead of say it is a hard course cause the course is so fast???

if only

I'm no golfer but I did hear about this. They reckon the greens were to 'fast' or something, because of the drought. They reckon that they just gently put the ball and it goes for miles (not quite but I think you know what I mean). A golfer wrote into the newspaper about this and said he and his golfing buddies would only be too happy to play, especially for the prize money on offer.

I guess if you are a professional sports person you do expect a certain standard of playing field. If you were a Pro Pool player you wouldn't probably want to play down the local with cigarette ash and beer stains all over the table and a Soccer Pro wouldn't be expected to contest a championship match down at the local park that could have leaves and sticks and dog poo all over the ground. There are many other examples I'm sure. It's a tough call really. I'm not for or against, just pointing out both sides of the argument.

I am a Golfer, and I agree with the Pros.

The greens were so hard, it was like putting on concrete.

You wouldn't want to see a V8 race around a course that has pot holes all over it.
