I don't know about you guys, but I'd be ropeable if they'd given my car to the staff to use as a weekender. Absolutely unacceptable IMO.

that guys seems awfully calm and collected for someone who's had their car taken for a joy ride. I know I gave my dealer an earful for doing 50kms in my car!

I'm so eagle eyed when I hand my car to someone. I took it to a suspension place in Brissy one day to have a �visual inspection� done on the bushes, next thing I see a guy back my car out and drive off in it. I had not said I wanted a test drive and had not signed anything. I was not happy with the guy at the desk!

I can�t believe this guy however! How insane is that! 300ks! Imagine seeing your car up the coast parked somewhere. I�d ask the driver for the keys when they returned to the car. Of course not knowing you were the owner they probably wouldn�t give them to you in which case I�d call the police or try to restrain the guy. I would without question be demanding a few grand from the dealer to cover potential problem due to possible misuse / abuse by the user (not to mention petrol!) and I would make it clear that not providing financial compensation would result in their dealership being named in correspondence with newspapers, magazines and especially current affairs TV programs.

Man, Ford dealers can suck with the way they treat your car. A friend of mine told me on the weekend how a friend of their parents had their car in for a servie and a mechanic took it out for the lunch run and totalled it!! How spewin' would you be about that? They are NOT allowed to take our cars for private runs, or to pick up parts or lunch, what a joke.

Mate, if that happened to my XR8 I would be demanding a fully optioned GT, Vixen with stripes, or Citric with stripes, or Silhouette with stripes.....something with stripes....
