Perhaps someone can give me some insight...I know that OnStar is a GM product, but why doesn't Ford have anything of the sort? It seems that they're way behind in that aspect. We'll be looking at new vehicles in the fall, and even though I'm very Pro-Ford, my wife travels a lot, and we may have to switch if Ford doesn't come up with something fast.

On Star is the satellite service in GM vehicles that allows you to call for roadside assistance from your car. It will also dial 911 for you automatically if you've been in an accident, helps you with directions, and will even unlock your car doors via satellite if you lock them in the car.

It does make you wonder, seeing as how Holden has borrowed the concept and now has 'Holden Assist', and Australia is one very big, open and empty landscape at times, so you're stuffed if something does happen and you're out of mobile range.

Come on Ford get with the times already! REX was a good start (allbeit a half arsed one), dont drop the bat now!
