i used to knock off little bits like door knobs and other pocket sized bits. now i show them everything i have and usually those small pocket size bits they give me for free anyway.

If the place has crap cusotmer service or they overcharge and slap stupid admission fees like some of the local places here, they load up on as much as possible! On teh other hand, the other day i went to a place recomended by a friend and they were happy to let me walk away with a few extra tidbits for free.

Theft is theft, never acceptable. I find it personally disgusting that people would even consider it... let alone start a thread to try and "justify" it. Never acceptable to steal, be it a car, a bike, a cigarette lighter or a jellybean!
theft is a crime,if you take something without consent of owner it is a crime,i know a large majority of ppl here n else where would of took the odd bolt or switch,etc i reckon ppl just wont admit it though,little parts are still posession of the owner exactly but yeah it doesn't justify taking it but yeah little parts i seen wreckers charge 75% of what you'd pay for em new so yeah theres wreckers who try to steal your cash off you as well,guess its sorta like a illegal KARMA if you could say that..
