My understanding is alloy is still standard on AU2. Maybe Tony or David F. can tell us if this is the case. If they've gone to steel it would be an unsavoury cost cutting issue, however look at the gain of 20kW. Ford has to pull cost out of the car somehow. My gripe would be not having the option to order five (always a good thing in case wheels get scratched, buckled etc).

I only orederd four when I got mine. The deal stretched me to the limit and I felt I needed all the options that I had selected. The fifth wheel had to go and I did regret it later. Although I have never had to use it, it would have been handy if I had ever damaged a wheel slightly
Yeah i don't think a spare alloy is necessary, i mean how often do punctures occur???? At least we don't have that crappy space saver tyre, looks like the wheel of the old citroen. imagine puttin power to the ground with that :CraZ: :CraZ:

Okay - 200kW cars have five alloys. The 220s are reverting back to steel spare. Damn!!!!!!!! Holden sell SS with five alloys so this is gonna be more money again. Bugger! (oh sorry, can't use that line, it's Toyota stuff).

Not sure I would be too upset on this one. I think the Falcon matches up well in most areas that really make a difference in the fight for the new buyers dollar
Yeah i have to agree with HSE2, we've bridged the gap to holden on the key things. But if they go to citroen wheel i'll be annoyed..
:(

Look I agree. It's just that it would have been nice to know. Real enthusiasts pay attention to these details. One bonus of the steel spare is more boot room.
