I always thought Steve had a few kangaroo's loose in the top paddock.
That stunt yesterday confirms it. One slip, and Bob would have been an entree for the croc. America has wacko Jacko, we have Steve.
Then he does drive Toyota's.
Honestly mate the guy knows what he's doing. It isn't his first child so he knows how to hold a baby (though his efforts were not to convincing I mean I doubt he’d drop him) He did a similar thing with his daughter. He has vast knowledge of crocodile behaviour and can probably tell what they are thinking by now. I would trust this guy with my life. In my opinion, the most concerning thing in that footage is that he fails to properly support the babies head and the way he "walked" the baby was rather close to shaking it at some points. This baby is 1 month old. I will say it was unnecessary and not part of any show I’d like to see but Steve would put his own life before the babies, remember…. he jumps on crocs for a living and has had this croc for years so he'd know what to watch out for. Give it 4 years and this baby will be catching & holding snakes, crocs and all kinds of wildlife just like his daughter is now.

Congratulations. You are still alive. Most people are so ungrateful to be alive, but not you. Not anymore.
Was all over the news here in the states. Can say it was even on local news here. they were comparing him to Jacko the whacko. They were saying how ignorant he was in baiting the croc with the baby....now I did not see that, but you know the news and media has to always throw their own spin on it.
Now knowing that he does know a shitload about crocs and everything, still it was not a wise move on his part. Of course this can just be a media stunt by him to get more attention around him. I have seen worse things done in the name of gathering attention for a personality.
Sounds like a bit of typical australian tall poppy cutting to me.
This guy works with crocs every day, I doubt that the baby was in any danger at all.
Lets face it, it's his baby, his life and his right. I get sick of all these wowsers whinging about other people then go to drive home, forgetting to buckle there own kids up. You tell me whats more dangerous.
Just stupid media hype, screw them, since when do any of us believe the media or accept the "slant" they love to put on stories to make a buck?
I'm with Casper on this.
The guy is a pro and knows what he's doing. Typical media at it's best (worst).
The real reason he probably shouldn't have done it is because he should know the ridiculous fuss the media will make, not because of any danger the kid was in.
Rick.
