Stop Press: Ford GTHO New Drive by Wire System

Press Release 25th Nov 2003:
Ford has been quick to deal with the reports that the current drive by wire system is not up to spec in it's performance variants.

After testing multiple configurations, including toying with the idea of reverting back to the tried and tested accelerator cable, the Ford tech team decided that by adding more DBW (Drive By Wire) systems, they would be able to fix the lag problems.

"Design with simplicity in mind" was the catch phrase by the Ford Tech team, and looking at the above sneak peak photos, they have succeeded in their task.

When asked how they thought customers would react to the dramatic reduction in boot space, one tech member was heard to mumble "why do I care, thats the design teams problem".

Unfortunately any increased acceleration and handling the soon to be released V10 GTHO Coupe was to have, has been countered by the extra 250kg the DBW system weights.

Are Ford onto a good thing, well that will be up to the customers to decide. But from this writers experience, it's going to be an absolute piece of sh....

It is, except the computers already linked on the network control it rather than the other way around.

Will be interesting when it drives past a Wireless Lan Party playing need for speed!!!!
