Well I just got my hands on the May issue and I was right.

Both cars are manuals, tested on the same day on the same dyno with the same operator. On this occasion with these two cars on that dyno the XR6T has much more mid-range mumbo than the XR8.

Don't believe dynos?

XR6T best 1/4 mile was 14.2, XR8 14.5.

The two lines on the bottom are torque. The power curve shows the Turbo has more power at the same revs.

The smoother and flatter the bottom line is the better. Seems as if the XR6t suffers a bit, its spiking a fair amount, whereas the XR8 pulls strong, and then drops off.

Well, a shock for sure. The XR8 should be seeing a higher maximum figure at the very least.

Apparently street machine dynoed the XR6T and XR8 one after each other and they both got figures of 205kw at the wheels. It seems strage but who knows.

I wonder if the XR8's beefier g/box is draining a little more power than the old T5 in the XR6.
