after month and months of gettin high bills, weve decieded to switch our home phone, to another company.

can anyone suggest any, and give us the pros and cons, or if theyve had any trouble with them.

they all suck, i dont want a landline but i need one for the net, so i am paying 70 for the net and 30 for the line. rip of muthas , and i hate it when i see a telstra van parked under a tree all day whilst the driver is sleeping . im paying for that slack a55 to sleep all day .

Optus.

My parents hate crap service and I switched them over for broadband, local calls and international calls. They love it. Simple bills, reasonable rates when packaged.

I recommend it.

* Gearbox (3rd time)
* Steering click (5th time)
* Brake Shudder (2nd time, and has the applied "Fix")
* etc...

i changed to AAPT a month ago from telstra, My bill for telstra were about 300 for 2 months my first bill from AAPT was for 80.00 and thats for a month even over the 2 months i was getting them from telstra it still works out cheaper.

im soooooooooo happy about that my savings.

AAPT, nice and cheap compared to Tel$tra. For some reason i really hate Tel$tra, they thing of the most stupidest things to charge you for, its quite amazing if you think about it, i think they have like brainstorming exercises on how to rip their customers off. AAPT is quite OK as they have some sort of cap on local calls including internet usage

it's absolute crap we have to pay for phone calls anyway. Out of all the money Telstra make they still manage to pinch every penny they can. AAPT sounds pretty good value too

ahhh living in the ACT has it's upsides. We have a thing here called TransACT, which is pretty much the same as telstra, but alot cheaper/friendlier, and better service because they are local. They laid thier own lines, and you get telephone/internet/foxtel/transTV (extra channels and VOD - video on demand.). The only thing they don't do is mobiles :) this package costs $89.95 a month, extra for foxtel. By the way, internet is adsl only.

Go and get a Vodafone Super cap.

$20 minumum bill each month, when you get to $79 all your calls are capped up to $500 every month.

Use your mobile for all your outgoing calls, keep Telstra or AAPT for incoming calls only.

Max mobile bill if you stay under $500 each month is $79 plus Telstra line rental for your home phone is $35 approx = $ 114.00.

Then go to People Telecom and get a $40 broadband plan for internet @ 512 speed and decent download limit.

TOTAL BILL FOR THE LOT = $ 154.00

Spend the $100+ a month you just saved on your Ford!!!!!
