SV8's Commodores going cheap

In brisbane SV8 Commodores are now selling for $35 grand plus on roads, i thought the recommended retail was around 40 grand.

That's strange news. Out of the whole Holden range, I think the SV8 is the most value for money.

The only reason I could think of besides the poor styling of the VY is that people buying in that price range prefer the new technology of the XR6T. Or maybe just going straight for the SS which seems to be selling well.

After reading all the comparisons between the two, the SV8 might be slightly quicker but loses out in every other department to the XR6T.

SV8 has no appeal at all, its pretty much a very poorly styled car. I think different wheels and a different lower cut back bumper could help it alot tho.

SV8 value for money????? Its an LS1 with wheels!!! A poverty pack.... Can someone please explain where the value is here? Why do people get so caught up in the straight line performance figures of cars and dont look beyond the paper they are written on.

Anyone read the PCOTY article? Now try and convince me you got yaself a bargain!

I don't mind the look of the SV8.

If i had one i would get one in red, 18" SS wheels, remove rear spoiler and lower it 2 inches :s6:

Someone ring the mental hospital, I'm starting to like the new VY more than the BA......
Hopefully it's only temporary!!

I just rang and they said you are 2 hours late getting back! Off you go!

There are now more used holdens in the local ford dealerships than used falcons. I think that says something about who's buying what!
