Sitting on the side of the road this morning in peak hour sipping my latte (I have the fortunate ability to always break down next to a pub or cafe depending on the time of day :s6: ) while I waited for FPV's tow truck the stupidity displayed by people was amazing.
I had my hazard lights on and the bonnet was up yet they still queued behind my car and got upset when it didn't move. Some even had to reverse to get around the car and honked their horns as they passed.
Honestly, who gives these people their licence?

Re: Sydney Drivers Must Have Their Eyes On Their.....
i was driving in sydney after getting a puncture, so i was driving at about 20 under the limit because i really didnt have much faith in the wheels i was running on.
anyway, 3 lane road and me cruising down the centre lane (because i had to vear right at major interections) and i get people coming up behind me, flashing me, honking me, all the rest ALL while there was no other cars in the other lanes.
people seem to enjoy being arses or something.

BTW I've been in a similar situation aswell only to have idiots beep, flash lights etc... I dont see how some of these people can be so quick on the horn either. In a situation where somone suddenly stops infront of you due to somone broken down/waiting to turn etc the last thing I'd be doing is hitting the bloody horn.

People seem to go straight for the horn/lights when they could more constructively use the time to avoid the situation they are getting themselves into... some people need a bit of this: or before they should be allowed to ...

It was a minor thing that caused BIG inconvenience. I almost had it for a full 14 hours this time.... Last time it was around 20.
Don't want to say anymore as City Ford in Sydney City break their backs doing a good job with supporting this car. Invaluable crowd!!!!

I'd say that in itself is a major accomplishment in Sydney Peak hour, and you should think yourself lucky!
Hope it's nothing serious and you get the car back soon.

Hah! Try 2m tall van, refelctive tape all over it's rear, the brightest halogen rotators available, hazards on, lights on, rear fog light on, rear flood light on, safety cones set up 50m behind van. All off the side of the highway, last cone right on the line approx 300mm from broken down customer. Some F***wit clips the last cone! Looking at getting strobes for the van now.
