Which Sydney XR8 Service Centre ?

I would like a referral to "the best" Ford XR8 team in Sydney. I have had bad experiences with 2 dealers to date and am prepared to travel to find the right team that will service my AUIII XR8 competently.

regards MMS50L

I'd love to help you out, but in my time in Sydney, trying 3 different dealers in the northern suburbs / north shore area, I was left wanting by every one of them. I was particularly unimpressed with their attitudes, not one of them gave any semblence of enthusiasm, and when the word "modified" was used, I think I dropped a rung lower in their view. They dig their own graves though, as they will not, and have not, got another dollar from me, and I am quite happy to un-recommend them to everyone.

Perhaps the Herrod affiliated dealer would be a good start? (City Ford is it?) At the least, I would guess that Rob wouldn't want to set up a partnership with a dealer that couldn't handle some decent performance-related work!

Do you have to go to a Ford dealer? If not ABS Mechanical at Kings Park is great & the owner drives a modified XR8 himself so he knows his way around them

& I think brad garlick is the Sydney agent for Herrods but I could be wrong

Yep it's Brad Garlick for Herrods in Sydney. I've found that they have a great service department. There are a lot of modified cars there.

Well, I'll put in and say I have had mostly good experiences at City Ford Crown Street in the city. Ask for Phil W. or Dave Mac (Dave is a great guy but they're moving him away from the customers to give him a well deserved promotion or whatever).

Like I say over and over, be nice, understanding, and talk to these people how you like being talked to and they'll bend over backwards to help you out. I stood there just yesterday and watched how some customers address these people and it makes me wonder what the hell is going on. I'd be hard pressed not going postal myself!
