Reading my newly acquired Wheels magazine I was interseted to see the explanation that the Lambo (6.0 litre V12) was pumping out 550NM of torque at just over 2000rpm.

Went babk to the article on T3 and found out that the 5.6 litre aussie engine (well it's mostly our innards in their) was producing 420 - 430NM of torque if you look at the torque curve on their graph. Now that compares favourably to Lambo's finest.

oooohh yeah very powerful machine that 5.6L windsor. I envy the people who have that engine, including Scooby Pete's even though his needs a slight tuneup. :p :p

Does any one out there know how the strokers great torque figure at 2000RPM compares with the Lousy One??

Thought that was a good name for the darkside's pride and short lived joy.

see, that's why i want a series 3 TE50 rather than AV. the new engine might have more power, but look at that torque!!! 500nm max! *sigh*

Not only is that a mountain of torque but also as one of my drag racing friends put it " those Windsors can rev all day and are bullet proof". According to him can be made to rev to 9000rpm with little coaxing.

The torque figures are good....but to compare it to a Lambo...

Comon Guy's this is not LS1... (Lambo's are a completely different class above)....

Agreed. Lamborghini builds supercars only. I did intend to disrespect the brand. However I did want to marvel at the fact that for the price of the Lambo's engine you get a sensational car which is likely to be rembered as a classic aussie muscle car.
