See David Flint's a junior member now. S'pose he doesn't want to tell us what's going to happen now that Prodrive owns Tickford. Prodrive is the mob that build Subaru's rally cars and Honda's old British touring cars.
I guess that can only be good news for the Ford touring car boys, doesn't it Dave? But what can they help you with for road cars?????

Prodrive are the guys that basically run the Subaru WRC campaign.

As far as I know Tickford Vehicle Engineering PTY LTD is seperate and wholly run by Ford Aus, but has access to Tickford UK's facilities etc..
correct me if I'n wrong though guys

D.K. I could'nt tell you who owns Tickford. I've never even heard of Prodrive. All I know about Tickford is they originated from England.

Tickford Vehicle Engineering is an off shoot of Tickford UK. It's a joint venture operation with Ford Australia who own 49% stake in the company.
Interesting to see what happens with the Prodrive thing though... :WH:

I'd say that Prodrive might have some input into the development of Tickford's race parts but then again who knows?

I do know that Prodrive once ran the Mondeo racing team in the British Touring Cars.
But I don't really know who owns who.

Prodrive is majority owned by Dave Richards, who (ford connection coming) won the world rally championship in 1981 as Ari Vatinen's navigator in a BDA Escort. Not only does he run Subaru's WRC operation (and built possum bourne's car) but he also owns the global broadcast rights to the world rally championship. Smart cookie, also had an involvement in the Benetton F1 team a couple of years ago. In Rally Oz last year, he ran choppers over the leading cars. Why? to collect footage so that playstation heads could compete with actual WRC drivers on actual stages. And yes, they did pick up the mondeo BTCC team that dominated last year with Alain Menu (swiss), Anthony Reid (pom) and Rickard Rydell (swede). hope that helps
