They are set to increase line rentals & drop afew specials they have at the mo...
Didnt they make another million plus this month???

I find that Telstra is much like Steve Bracks, never enough revenue/profit. Their service is pretty good, never had any problems with them, but still, they forget the customers because a few billion dollars profit just isn't enough. Banks are the same shit. Filthy capitalist criminal organisations I tell you.

I had issues with what Telstra were charging, so I went somewhere else. Now I have nothing to do with them!!

Hmm I wonder if it's about time that George Bush declared war on Telstra? Definitely a justified attack!!

What kind of company can incite such mass negativity at the mere mention of it's name? That's right - not just a bad one, but one that continually rips-off and frustrates all its customers.

How can you have nothing to do with them?
They own ALL the infrastructure - phone lines, phones, exchanges, etc.
An increase in line rental rates will affect everybody, as the other providers who rent the lines from them will have to raise their prices to cover costs.

Give it time - compeditors will come in, and offer something better. Then you can choose to stay with telstra or jump ship.

I signed up to a broad band package that covers home phone, dedicated broadband internet, and TV with a couple of extra chanels thrown in. They use their cabling, not telstra's. They use their own exchange, not telsra's, and I own my own phone. So testra does not apply to me. My father-in-law's local business did the same thing.

Telstra never cease to amaze me, they are continually putting prices up, as if they need a nother billion dollars profit... They make me sick.

I used to manage an ISP that spent millions with them over the years I was there, and they used to treat us like dog shit.... They don't care about their customers, just the money!

Sparkles, I agree, Bush should declare war against Telstra while he is going!

Buy some Telstra shares. They're pretty low at the moment & that way you'll be getting some of the increase back :)

Out here we're stuck with the bastards, nobody else can afford, or wants, to put up all those k's of phone wire to compete.
And don't talk to me about mobile phones!!!!
Whatever they say about total phone coverage for the bush, it's a crock of SHIT!!!

Its not like line rentals are cheap anyway, and then they put the price up.

Stuff Telstra. I hate them!!!

I am going to get my home phone cut off, and make all my calls here at work, or on my mobile.

And my mobile is through Optus.
