Tendulkar leg side tactics

Anyone see the news where england applied this method to try and stop him from scoring. He still got to 90 odd but they showed scenes of the umpires trying to cool the tention between the two teams.

Thats not a way to play cricket in my opinion, i saw a bit of it on the news and i think it's sad that england would go to such extremes to try and stop tendulkar scoring, and if they keep playing cricket in such a negative manner it will only harm their game further, they need to be more positive in their play and attack rather than do something like that and take then negative option because in my opinion it will affect the players outlooks over time and it will become too big a habit.

Fair comment. He is the little master no question, but he is human after all. England has a bit of a history with where they aim the ball, but a man of his tallent should have been able to score regardless. One way to stop bowlers from this sort of attack is to hit em out of the park and from what I saw they were short and wide. A bit of one day stuff might have been the go.

I was thinking along the same lines, if they aren't going to bowl fairly to you, take them on wherever they bowl it one day style, he's definately a good enough batsman to do it :s5
