I want to thank all of you for all your great posts over the last week or so.
It has been a great time to be a Ford employee or a Ford fan.
Aussie Pete summed it up best -- this is not the "Geoff and David Show". BA in all of its variants is the product of nearly four years work by every one of our nearly 5000 employees. They have worked tirelessly to produce what is simply the best range of vehicles ever seen in Australia.
We also owe much to you guys and all our fans. It is that fan enthusiasm which both motivated and encouraged us to do what we have done.
We producc Job 1 off the line tomorrow morning. While I will be down at the Plant and (hopefully) get to drive it off the line, it will be merely a symbolic gesture. BA belongs to all of us.
Geoff ,
Well done to you and all you team,
looking foward to meeting you and David at the raid
can you get a photo to post for all ff members of you and the first car off the line please,
it would be something great to see ford making this great step
for the the new launch of the ba car of the year 2002/3
Regards

Well said, it would be great to see the first car roll of the line!
Your then man Geoff, your the man behind the team, behind the company. It all counts, however someones got to make the first move for change and that appeared to be you..
I was going to start a new thread but though it's best to put it here. I just converted a friend of mine! His father specifically. He is due to replace his VTII SS in January. So it was a perfect opportunity to e-mail him a few pictures of the BA XR8. And he is hooked! He will place an order in the next couple of weeks once pricing is out.
