Those bunch of loopy fruits at Mitsubishi Marketing HQ have come up with another gem of pure fiction. Hell even Disney would be proud of this one.
Not content with a their last add and its laughable and totally inplausible claim that a 4WD skud would outrun either of the local big two performance sedans. These whacky mitsu guys have created another beauty that is sillier than Donald trumps hairpiece.
Even before this they were using some bit actor from "the castle" flame trying represent the magna as the Aussie alternative. Yeah about as Aussie as inviting the boys up to the local for shouts of rice wine and a feed of canton duck.
The latest dirge has a team of garbologist swooning at the latest mitsu smiling shitbucket and then dumping a perfectly functional ex taxi EA in the skip. Funny stuff at first but I think this is just another example of mitsu in denial.
So if we think back to the era where the EA was gleaming and new what was the mitsu alternative, yep thats right those t-whatever magna 4cylinder jobbies. You know the ones with the counter rotating shafts to stop them shaking to bits and the cable operated manual shift with more cables than the golden gate bridge.
And this is really where mitsu have the dilema there are plenty of pristine EA's still giving good service, and plenty more shocker ex cabs still passing the annual roadworthys.
How many of those T-something 4cylinder skuds are still out there. Not many, and those that are have reserved parking at Simmsies.
The negative representation of Falcon in these latest adds show that Mitsu must see Ford as their biggy rival, which just goes to show the dont have a clue. No Falcon driver would want to be seen dead in a Magna, if they had one as a loaner they'd claim it was owned by their 70 year old uncle from Cessnock, or that they were driving it for a huge bet.
Mitsu has failed to see that its true market was anyone silly enough to buy a hyundia sumatra, looking to trade up to something less ridiculous next time.
Mitsu's loss koreas gain.
These adds try to portray the skud as all the things it isn't but wishes it was, powerful, well handling, attractive, and good value for money.
Still we needn't be offended for too much longer, once they hock off these last batches of current model skuds, mitsu will have no claim to being an Aussie car whatsoever. And thats the pity, lost aussie jobs because mitsu tried to sell skuds as something they weren't, rather than concentrating on what they were good at, oh well thems the breaks..
Count how many 4cly magnas you see mobile tomorrow, dont worry with the EA's you'll just loose count.
