Things to consider in starting up a AutoParts business

My friend and I are planning to put up a small business after graduation and we are thinking of having a AutoParts store and thats good beacuse we are both car lover. Actually I appreciate All about Car stuffs To tell you honestly my mother and my father have ventured before in this kind of business and it did not succeeded that’s why I am having my second thoughts. My parents actually have a collection of all brands and auto lights, and I just want everything to run smoothly and as partners we want our investment to land an assurance.

Can anybody from you guys guide me on the things that I should consider Your help - would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Things to consider in starting up a AutoParts business

Friend,
I can tell you it's a very tough, very competitive and very unforgiving business. You'll need a large line of credit or a large bankroll to even get started. You'll need manufacturer contacts, a target customer base, a location without too much competition or previous saturation and a very understanding family.

I highly recommend going to work for someone already in the business to see what it's really about before investing a lot of time and money.

I really hate to discourage and disappoint you, but I'm giving you the reality of it.

Whatever you decide, the very best of luck to you

sh

Common now. Think positive! ...I'm thinking of starting a drug smuggling business. Oops, I mean, um, no I'm not. Uh huh.

Just to add on; I heard Mexicans were smuggling drugs in their TIRES that were being used on the vehicle to cross the border in!
