Hi all,

Just ignore me, just wanting a vent:

My cat, Marcus, looks like he was hit by a car last night. A quiet suburban street that gets very few cars at night....

Either that, or someone kicked him hard enough to shatter his femur. I hope not.

Anyway, thanks to the vets at Balcatta Veterinary Hospital (for the initial visit at 6:45am this morning when my next door neighbour found him in his driveway after I'd been awake all night and looking for him (he always spends night-time inside) and then Gavin and Tara at St Francis Veterinary Hospital (my regular vets) for the 3 hour operation this afternoon comprising of pins, screws and wires, he is (at this stage) going to be okay.

Fingers crossed for no nerve damage and the healing / regeneration of the bone fragments.

The things we do for our pets, huh?

Mate, pets aren't just animals. They truly are part of the family. When something like this happens it can really hurt.

Thanks guys, appreciated. Marcus is doing okay. Gavin said today "He's sorry and feeling very sorry for himself and is a little depressed". Poor thing!

Anyway, looks like I may get him home tomorrow or on Saturday. Would be good to be with him all long weekend. I'm off over east on Tuesday, but a good friend has volunteered to look after him at my house. Her first introduction to Marcus 2 years ago was with a bucket on his head after he'd been in a fight!

Anyway, say "Hello" to Marcus and thanks again:
