why does ford have CRETINS for mechanics, someone please tell me! i dropped my car off for an oil and oil filter change at thomson ford today. i do it there because they're about 10 mins from work, so it's really convenient.
anyway, i come to pick up my car and just walk around it to make sure there's no new scratches and what do i see? my brand new (not even two weeks old) front bumper has cracked! after a closer inspection, it looks like someone drove it into another car's exhaust pipe and cracked it!
needless to say i cracked it too! "nick, sharon got offended so you shouldn't swear..." WHAT??? "you people shouldn't be going around damaging your customers cars! i don't give a flying f**k who gets offended! that bar cost me a fair bit of money, so i am NOT HAPPY!
they're calling me tomorrow to let me know of their stance on this, but let's just hope the service department smarts up and pays for it because this is ridiculous! shit... "not happy" is an understatement! :damon:

Ahh how can you prove that it wasn't there before you took it to them?? And is it there fault if another customer backs into it?? Just asking for I;m sure thats what they'll come back with.

Hold on a minute! Nick sorry to hear about that you must be mad like never before! It was a sweet bodykit.
Now Thomson ford is one of the best dealers I know of, we bought the XR from them and they have alot of cars to deal with at the service. They don't let the younger mechanics drive the cars and they're usually very careful about their costumers, but $hits happen!
They should be able to fix it for you. Don't lose temper and speak to them nicely(as much as you can), it should be alright.
I was next to you this morning, at heartland Holden fixing my brakes. I stuffed up the master cylinder(celynder whatever that is!) Dam I paid a lot!!!!!!!!errrrrrrrrrrrrr
From my experience the service rep looks at your car before they accept it. Every time I've been to Thompson Ford that's what they have done, so put the hard word on whoever you were dealing with.
If all else fails get onto the CRC people in Melbourne and get them to act as mediators perhaps.
As to a customer backing into the car, with the way Thompson's do their cars, I would think it remote.
