Ok here goes, i was originally selling both the 4Runner and Ute....
The main reason is i'm really starting to regret the thought of selling my truck. I love my 4WD and i love 4WD'ing.
Here's what i've been pondering: The two main reasons i was going to sell my 4 Runner: Shown here without the H/D suspension from a hunting trip:
are:
1) It uses way too much fuel
and 2) It doesn't have enough torque/power (hence too much fuel.)
Here's what i'm pondering........ It's called a 1UZ. Which boils down to a 4.0L all alloy, quad cam, 32 valve V8 @ around 190kw without mods!
Either that or some Windsor or Chevy V8 and hopefully running on gas.
If i did something like this it would be long term, so i'd go the whole hog. The main purpose won't be to drag race people, but for monstrous torque that'll result in a super serious off roader, and much better fuel economy.
The other main pro is i won't be spending big bucks on a car that i have to leave at home in the garage till the weekends. I can still bring it to work at the quarry and not worry about getting it dirty...
