I got a Dev 1 put in my car today ..

Yesterday my car started rumbling more then it should, the cat split from the headers ..

Rang Brendon Mock... and he booked me in for a Dev1.

They understood that i needed my car for business purposes, so they got on to the job promptly.

Gave it to them this morning...
Came back to pick it up in evening,

not only was the job well done, .. my engine was cleaned, my gas system serviced, and my car washed and wheels cleaned!!!! ...

I flipped when i saw my car! ....

Thats what you call Valued personal Service!

So are we finally going to see one of these on an independant dyno??

Or would you be concerned that this might take some of the "shine" from the experience?

geee you are bein a bit harsh there there was no mention of any power outpus by hurricane and after all who really gives a shit bout a "dyno readout" i'd be happy to own a EF with a DEV1 !!!

as far as i go ..
i went in there spending under 600 for headers and cat work ..
What do i expect? .. 100kw increase?

The point i am making is that i havnt been treated this well ever by any other mechanic.

Point i am making is that even on a small job, considering t hey were busy and squeezed my job in,

They made sure i walked away a happy customer! ..
in this case.. extreamly happy.

A dev 3 is going into my car in a month or so . . .

good to see them doiong the little bit extra for the customer. Did it make an appreciable difference?

I installed the Mock extractors and cat today also. Although im no expert, the setup certainly seems professional, all of the welds are good quality, and internally seems very smooth with no obvious internal restrictions of any kind. Only thing that there was no bolt holes in the last flange for the centre transmission mount, so ill have to go down to the exhaust place and get them to weld something up.

Everything bolted up fine, other than 1 bolt hole being slightly offset in the main flange to the head, requiring me to grind the hole a little bigger....Strange thing was the old bolts went into this hole fine....

Car sounds more 'burbly' and certainly pulls harder up top (I realised after pulling off the old exhaust that the cat was on it last legs) I think fuel economy has noticably improved but its a bit early to tell at this stage....

gmanEA, when pulling it off I gave it a shake and the cat was 'rattly', when sticking a torch in it for a sticky-beak there was something loose in there, looked like a piece of rusty coloured rope?
