Tickford Stroker

I remember reading a while ago, Tickford said to offset some of the R&D for the T3 5.6 litre engine, they would offer the stroker kit to 5.0 litre Windsor engines sometime in the future, anyone have any further info in this??

It would be great to have the stroker kit as an aftermarket option from Tickford. Or even if it was an option on cars coming off the production line (probably a bit late now). They would get heaps of requests from Ford owners, especially people with XR8's. 250kw's and 500nm would be great .

I don't think they'll do that because it undermines the value of the T3 - wouldn't like to see it happen from my point of view anyway. If ppl want to stroke their 5.0 litres there are already kits available.

not going to happen as ford had those cranks and everything made here for them. Dont think there would be any leftovers... You can buy the ford kits from the states or non ford kits from people like mick webb and the like...

Cranks were cast in Geelong and machined at Crank Shaft Rebuilders Melbourne. There's no reason why they couldn't make more - just depends on how much they think they would be able to make from it. Nobody goes into business for the love of it! Personally, if they are going to do it there's no way it will happen until the last of the T3s & Pursuit 250's have been built and sold. Maybe after the Barra's been released? Would make sense then, as you're not undermining anything then...

Ford australia wont do it, and dont think crankshaft rebuilders will do it either as they lost alot of normal business due to delays whilst doing the cranks and rods...
