good luck i dont smoke but i cant give you much but i can give you one really really good pointer, go and get your teeth cleaned lol, sounds weird but cause you smoke you leave that niccotine (sp?) stuff on your teeth and when you havent had a smoke for a long time you will start to taste it and you'll be back smoking again , if you really want to quit, my advice will be to get it done

Go the patches, don't try cold turkey as it is very hard to get over the cravings.
When I gave up cold turkey I started smoking again two years later. I never got over the cravings and every time I was near a smoker my eyes watered and nose stuffed up. It just seemed easier to start smoking again.
This time I went on the patches. It took me a couple of days to get over the habit of reaching for a packet. The cravings didn't kick in until a week after but they were easier to deal with. I've now stopped for three years and feel better for it. I'll never smoke again and it doesn't worry me to be around other smokers.
You will have some very, very vivid dreams as the nicotine leaves your system. I laughed when the doctor told me that would happen but he was right. The dreams were fantastic!
Just don't confuse your cravings for hunger. As your system cleans you'll feel hungry but don't give into the temptation to eat more. Buy some chewing gum and have that instead.
When times get tough just think of the money you are saving. This is money better spent on the car.
