I saw an amazing sight today, a TL50. It was black super low and had a I VOTED FOR A DRAGWAY sticker on the back of it (I'm in Canberra .... it has NO dragway). I didnt know the AU fairlane shape could look this good. .. the suprising thing was the couple in the drivers and passenger seats .. they were a old married couple ... had to be in there 60's. It was just great to see another great Ford driving around.

I though Canberra had several unofficial dragways, as in Barton Hwy (used to have the 1/4 mile marked out), Anzac Pde, and Northborne Ave....

I think I've seen the same car getting about - It is pretty sweet!

Canberra has a drag way, Ive been to it, Ive seen drag races at it..

It was next to the airport.. Did they close that one down? was actually a pretty good drag strip compared to eastern creek..

Oddly I was there for a mileage marathon competition..

Also the road next to the runway seemed nice and flag drag potential.. Near the airport so can't use radar..

I was driving to work the other week and I saw this white Toyota Supra import with bodykit and big wheels coming the other way. I got a look at the driver expecting to see some 20 year old bloke, but no I saw his grandma in the drivers seat! I kid you not, there was a 60+ woman with grey hair behind the wheel of this car which could have easily been featured in Zoom or High Performance Imports And, no I wasn't mistaken I got a really good look. Still can't believe it...

You can't beat the old bags in the mercedes convertibles though I guess women buy expensive cars too after their mid life crisis, hehe.

i suppose they might release some infomation when the Fairlane series is relaeased. Then again, depending on wether it would be worth making a Fairlane sports model, because the TL50 didnt exactly sell good.
