Today Tonight---Tonight

There is a story on Today Tonight tonight about tricks of the trade as far as covering rego plates against speed cameras. Probly wont show much as they would'nt be allowed to be encouraging anything illegal but might make for an interesting watch.

I was always told to put 'bubble wrap' between actual number plate and the number plate plastic provective cover...could be an old wifes tale.

I heard you can get this spray stuff that just makes it hard to read when photgraphed. Much like the plastic covers, only the cops can't see the spray.

No numbers plates is the only foolproof way to beat them:err:

Had one of those prism number pates covers on in WA, ended up getting busted with it, $50 fine and they made me take it off.

Might be quicker to just hit the brake pedal? rofl! :s6:

And that spray xf_xr6 mentioned just makes the letters as reflective as the background, so the whole plate is reflected back as a white rectangle. Problem is that it does the same thing when the police cars headlights hit it.... easy for them to spot.

'That' spray stuff is just hairspray. The PVC in it that holds up your hair blocks the light reflection on the plate. But you didn't hear it from me.
