Thumbs up Tough on Speed

Tonight (Sat July 5th) at the intersection of Princes Hwy and Ferntree Gully Rd across the road from New Oakford motors in Oakleigh there is a large "Tough on speed" sign on a trailer and a shameless Vandal has crossed out Speed and added Revenue Raising.Well who ever did that has the courage to express themselves,Long Live free speech!
Cheers
Bill.

Thats unbelievable. I was thinking of doing the exact same thing to one of them portable billboards that was sitting on the corner of Settlement road and Torquay road in Geelong. Also noted there was a new red light camera at the Fyans street and Princess Highway intersection, possibly one of them new speed and red light cameras, so keep an eye out for it if you pass through Geelong.

Re: Tough on Speed

On a somewhat lighter, but similar note, it is good to see the boys in blue haven't lost their sense of humour. I recently passed one of those mobile billboards proclaiming" speed cameras are everywhere". The speed camera was set up about 10 feet behind it.

I think the poms have the same sort of game plan, have a look at the sign in the top left hand corner of the screen

Haha I was thinking about exactly the same billboard as I read the first post! There's also one at the start of the Anglesea Road in Waurn Ponds which is an ideal target. Not that I would attempt such a thing

Thanks for the heads up on the camera too - I drive through there every day and have been looking for this new red light/speed camera that they're putting in, obviously haven't been looking hard enough though! The Herald-Sun mentioned the intersection in Corio where the BP servo is as one possibility, and an intersection in Norlane as another, but probably because they've already got red light cameras.
