I'd like to buy a barra, maybe even an XR6T, but I still have this car trailer and weekend racer to tow around. So what is going to do the job. Would a XR6T be a big mistake for towing purposes, would a V8 XT do the job, or do I need a wagon or ute, so I don't bend the chassis?

Personally,I'd go for the ute good for towing and lots of space and easy access for all the race bits:s2:

Hmm V8 XT Wagon, with Large Tow pack and trans cooler.

I dont know what the deal is with Ford, but the Commodore Ute is only rated at 1600kg tow rating max, while the sedan and wagon are 2100kg Max towing. The manual versions are also rated to tow less. Wait for the R7 V8

it's not a great idea to tow wiith a ute unless you put a great deal of weight in the rear tray. If you don't your trailer will lift, rise and push the rear end of the ute, where and when it want's too...

go for long wheel base wagon, same amout of usable room with the rear seats down with safey cage moved forward.

Would'nt that effect be negated ny useing a load levelling kit

I'd go for da V8. If i had the chance to choose from an xr6-t and an xr8(hey, we can all dream??) I'd go the xr8. I'd just like to wait and see if there is, heaven forbid, any problems with the turbo.

I think a XT Falcon I6 would do the job.

Any car in the range would be up to it.
