Toyota has launched a new series Avalon, with improved comfort, specification and exterior features.
Improved features in locally built Mk. II Avalon include the availability of DVD-based satellite navigation.
Comfort upgrades include the adoption of high solar energy absorbing (HSEA) glass for the window glass in all models.
The HSEA glass absorbs significantly more solar energy and UV rays than the tinted glass it replaces, thereby reducing heat build up within the vehicle and reducing air conditioner load. It achieves this without affecting night-time vision.
Mk. II Avalon has feature upgrades in all four models – Conquest, CSX, VXi and Grande.
The upgrades include new audio units across the board, with large, easy to use controls and displays.
Volume-selling Avalon Conquest has a new audio with CD player, new "Spectra" seat trim, new wheel caps and HSEA window glass.
Conquest’s option availability includes cruise control, ABS anti-skid brakes, air conditioning and front seat side airbags.
Mk. II Avalon CSX has the additional features of 15-inch alloy wheels, new "Riviera" seat trim, body-coloured door handles and body coloured side protection moulding.
Luxury Mk. II Avalon VXi has ten-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels with P205/60HR 16 tyres.
In addition, Toyota has developed a VXi Limited option pack, consisting of leather seat trim, moonroof and "Limited" badge.
Top-of-the-range Avalon Grande has, as standard equipment, DVD-based touch-screen satellite navigation, a wood and leather four-spoke steering wheel, and unique 16-inch alloy wheels with seven pairs of spokes.
Avalon Grande also has a new audio system with separate amplifier and boot-mounted 6-disc multi-changer.
Toyota Mk. II Avalon also has new exterior colours.

Hmmm 205's 16's Tyre/Wheel thats abit narrow for 16's. My baby has got wider tyres than that and there in 15's. :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
