Hey

Just asking if anyone has taken the New England, or Pacific Hwy to Sydney from Brisbane, how long did it take you and how much petrol, if you can remember, I made it in 10.5 hours, to the southside of Sydney, from west Brisbane via New England Hwy. 2 and a half tanks of petrol.

Recently came down from Townsville myself, in the mighty RS2000.

First day I got to Maryborough (sp?), in somewhere around 11hrs.
Then Maryborough to Sydney again in about 11hrs. Maryborough is around 1.5/2 hrs North of Bris?

Fuel? About $250 worth all up. From Bris to Syd I think I filled up 3 times. 40ltr tank.


Had a very good run. Planned to do it in 3 days.

From Brisbane to Sydney via Pacific Hwy took about 11hrs in heavy traffic used 110litres of fuel in the AUII with a empty tandem trailer.

sydney to brisbane, on the new england, 8.5 hours and 1 2/3 tanks... didnt time the return trip... the 6 cylinder (EB 3.9) gave me 650 (exactly) for the first tank and was there with between 1/3 to 1/4 tank... was a brilliant run...

i did gold coast to sydney in 7.5 hours. no traffic though. and i was behind a car travelling at a nice speed.
