Hi everyone I think its about time I added this thread, as we all know ford I believe are bringing out a TURBOCHARGED XR6, now at the moment there are alot of already modified fords which are turbocharged and supercharged, and well I would like to know how many on this forum have one and what performance levels they have got out of it, and also some pics would be nice, here is one I like.
This thing is a very awsome car I have seen it in person, the car makes over 285kw at the rear wheels, taking this car into the 11 second range, one of the best I have seen around.
Here is a friend of mines who is on this forum a SUPERCHARGED XR6.
1993 ED XR6 auto, powerdyne blower kit from capa, forged pistons, chromemoly rings, O ringed block, bigger injectors, K&N filter, Unichip. Engine rebuilt less than 3000kms ago. Power is 162kw @ rear wheels (dyno sheet available). New pedders suspension lowered 80mm front & rear, simmons FR series 18" wheels, 235/40R18 front & 265/35R18 rear with yokohama tyres, momo steering wheel, cobra fixed back race seat, alpine cd with 5 channel amp, 2 12" kicker subs. Car is cobalt blue in colour.
This car is also awsome, cars that look like this and as powerful why would you want to buy a holden.
Forgive my ignorance, but does the first car in your post have 2 fuel rails? What's that for? To deliver more fuel? (duh!) I thought most super/turbocharger mods included bigger/higher flowing injectors. That's why I'm asking about the decision to use 2 fuels rails rather than bigger injectors...
Also, I've got this crazy idea of getting an AV XR8 (or even a sleeper Faimont) and twin turboing the sucker. A nice black intercooler so it's not visible unless you're really looking for it...
To answer your question, the use of another six injectors means it will get double the fuel, coz this thing already had bigger injectors and bigger fuel pumps, and still needed more fuel, answer your question.
Well I got myself a EB fairmont, 3.9mpefi engine exhaust exract, 2.5, 3.45lsd auto with a 2500 dom convertor, 9psi powerdyne blower never been to 9 around 6, unichip, now blown engine after 350,000kms.
Future mods, getting a second hand engine, 4ltr out of edxr6 or el, bolt on a el intake manifold, run a cooler, with water injection, 3.9lsd, trick the auto, fix boost problem, get it dynoed straight away, hoping for atleast 200rwkw.
with old motor fully rebuild and balance top to bottom, set up for n.o.s, 100hp kit, hopefully looking at over 250kwsrw, and 11s
Just awesome, love power of the forced especially in Falcons.
:s2: :s2:
SUPERCHARGEDEB
287kw at the wheels is decent, goes to show our falcon 6's are far from under powered.

Ok heres an idea of a turboed falcon that combines good power and durability.
A single turbo say T28 with custom manifold.
Bigger injectors/fuel pump
Boost at 6-7psi.
Intercooler.
What does every one think, i reckon it'd be a good setup and engine would not require forged pistons etc etc as it's relatively low boost. I reckon power will be a cool 190-200kw.
Boost should spool from 2000rpm onwards.
Just suprised no one has done this setup i've seen twin turbo setups as opposed to single.
