Two killed in high-speed smash in a ferrari

aparently street racing a BA/BF GT.

TWO people have been killed in a high-speed crash on the Warburton Highway this afternoon.

The accident - which left a man and a woman dead - occured when the high-powered Ferrari coupe hit a tree.

Police said there was a suggestion the car may have been involved in a drag race with another vehicle.

Several ambulances were sent to the scene, but nothing could be done for the victims, belived to be a man, 33, and a woman 22.

The names of the dead are yet to be released.

HERES THE LINK.

I know who it was. He (the driver) owned a earthmoving company. I suppose thats all I can say.

Sad tho, but apparently there was a drag race. Whoever owns a silver GT is going to get a visit from mr plod.

I don't know how the law stands but is the guy in the silver GT liable for what happend in any way. The way I see it unless he forced the person off the road or something stupid like that , then I don't see why he would get done for anything other than whatever he did wrong such as speeding or perhaps dangerous driving.

Maybe they want to talk to him simply to get the facts on the accident if he saw what happend.

With the new anti hoon laws in victoria, i think he'll be in some strife.
The guy in the ford handed him self into police last night.

Well it was only inevitable, being 1 of a 100 cars produced. Aint long b4 mr plod finds you.
I think guilt got the better of him, when they said 100 cars were only produced.

If you didn't own up, well, probably be hounded by the media worse than that of handing yourself in.

Re: Two killed in high-speed smash in a ferrari

They recently came out with a law here for street racers. Basically if you are street racing you are liable for anything you or the other person does. so if the other guy crashes and killed someone, you are liable for it as an accessory. Also if you are caught street racing they take your car and crush it. Literally, no resale, no pound, they crush it as is no matter whats inside. Of course this will be after a lengthy court battle im sure.

The guy in the silver GT will be charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failing to report the accident, not to mention what uhoh said.

Ok if he knew there was an accident and left the scene without reporting it then that is wrong but the law that uhoh mentions where you can be held liable for someone elses driving mistake sux big time to me.

Not that I condone it but maybe that is why the person fled the scene if the law works like that.
