Just got a letter through work today that Holden have recalled the towpack on our cars (VX's), this follows a letter last week for the recall on the fuel sender unit.
Yeah i've heard about the fuel sender recall, apparently the DTE is not showing correctly as a result the car may run out of fuel despite indicating theres fuel there.

yeah this is after the other fuel sender recall we did a little while ago - im getting very good at taking VT and VX tanks out!!!
they try to blame it on impuritys (sulfur) in the fuel damaging the sender unit - they say sulfur damages it - BS BIG TIME sulfur is added to the fuel on purpose, for what reason i forget, but it has been in fuel since the year dot!

Dont know if anyone saw the recall for the Ford Transit in May
The vehicles automatic transmission may change to a lower gear unexpectedly. The change of gear at normal speed may result in instability and loss of control.
Not sure why the sulfur is there ?
I think the proposed ADRs for new vehicles 2005-2006 all new petrol vehicles will require 95RON and have a low sulfur content for emissions
