Hey,
I've just come back from 5 months in the US, but i was travelling for only 3 of those months. I'm not much help in terms of performace parts cause i wasn't looking for those, but i covered a lot of the country, mostly the well known places, but i had some unreal fun.
The best party town atmosphere is split between Las Vegas and New Orleans. Both towns you can get drunk in very cheaply and any night of the week. If you have a weak stomach or good sense of smell, don't go to Bourbon St in New Orleans, the whole street stinks like hell, but they have good bars and clubs down there. Vegas, just hit 'The Strip' and the casinos on it have clubs in them.
Colorado this time of year is magnificent, if you can handle the cold. A quick weather check of Boulder, which is a good college town shows the max temp is in the single digits and the minimum is minus a lot. But Colorado is worth seeing, don't worry about Denver too much, all the small towns up in the mountains are unreal, Aspen, Vail, Beaver Creek, Glenwood Springs etc.
I could go on forever, but a few other states would be Florida(weather should still be alright), New York is great, Washington DC is a hole, but a lot of good sights and California is alright, but is much better in summer.
Yes going in May.Have to organize now.Going U.S and Europe round world ticket. Went to Ford Museum last year, thought there'd be more about Ford's ..Go more southern states this time..Shhh the parts part ?? Keep quiet about that!! Married guys will know what I mean...

I've been to the states a couple of times. I'd check out Las Vegas even if you don't like gambling the place is just insane & everything is subsidied by the gambling so is cheap as. It's one of those places you have to see to understand how full on it is
Yea I didn't where to post this.
My brother who lives in windy Chicago says Florida,Miami,New Orleans,San Diego -Mexico.
Then L.A, Yellow Stone Pk,Grand Cannion..Texas??

California is awesome IMO. San Francisco, LA, Sequioa and Yosemite national parks, Carrizo plain etc. There is so much to see and do there and the place has such a happening vibe. Been to Oaklahoma, Texarse, Louisiana and a few others and none compare to Cali.
