Uncle Geoff, and next Falcon design team - Please Read

In light of the new Magna, Camry, and Commodore; I have realised that car design is going down a road where uncohesive, disproportionated designs rule the roost. I would not like the new falcon to go here, I want it to be a good looking, proportionate car, with definite recognisable 'falcon DNA'.
The New camry has too bigger wheel arches, as does the magna. The cars look like fridges they're so boring.
The two japanese cars also contain no anger in the design. They are passive, the magna even "smiling", except with droopy eyes.
The new commodore has the olde worlde AU rear end, spliced with the old magna. With lancer head lights and a jelly bean style middle, car doesn't really 'go'.
I hope that the next falcon, with all the work the went into making the BA the sexy looking thing that it is, stays put and doesn't get lost.

I think we're in pretty good hands here. The AU->BA lesson was one hard learned, and largely due to external aesthetics. Uncy Geoff is well and truly on the ball in this department these days!

I agree.
Baically, I think Falcon should stick more or less to it's current (beautiful) BA look, with only slight upgrades, eg EA-->EB-->ED
over the next few years.
The design of the BA is world class, and development should concentrate on other areas whilst design is left alone.
Jake.

I'm probably gonna get howled at for this, but I liked the Ford 427 and I like the images of the Mazda6 sized Taurus replacement Ford Futura revealed this week.
I think it's both well proportioned and has a good presense on the road - you wouldn't mistake it for anything else with the chrome grill treatment.
Cheers
Jason

Piss off those stupid vertically rectangular headlights, make them horizontal (as all headlights should be!), and you'd be a lot closer to having an acceptable look. Still not keen on all that chrome in the grille though!

I'm very impressed with the direction J Mays is taking Ford's passenger cars in the US, and I actually hope Ford AU looks closely at the designs of the Futura/Five Hundred when penning the next Falcon.
