Donut King, when i try to upload a photo it tells me to login, i log in at the members photo gallery page and it says invalid username and password
But if i try to register a message pops up saying that that name is already registered
Do i have to register for photo gallery as well or what
I much prefered the old way we would upload photos
Attaching photos to a thread is a pain in the backside.

Clear your cookies.

The logins are the same. It uses the same database. If it is not recognizing you then there is something wrong with your cookies or with your personal setting in your members profile that you have adjusted since signingup for this site.

It will not make you sign in again just to use this feature.

The reason it was removed as was stated when originally done was as follows.

The attachments in the database makes the database unstable. It also creates unnecessary overhead on the database fr other users that are not looking at the threads. Mysql creates the images in the database as glob files. These are the weakest points in the database as far as stability. I allow some attachments, but not many. The photo gallery is its own seperate database so if it fails and crashes it will not bring down the Forum. This is done to alleviate any possible issues in the future.

Also with attachments this database was 4.2 gigs in size with now 2.1 gig of just attachments. The bigger the database the longer it will take to search and perform functions. the more it has to rifle through the glob files the slower it is.

Cleared my cookies and have checked my profile and options settings and selected yes to using cookies and have enabled cookies on my PC.
Still have to login when i click upload photos and it still don't recognise me.
Weird man.
Anything else possibly effect it.

well you do not want to have cookies enabled on the forums. It will cause issues. I removed that. try again.

what i was trying to say is that you had cookies and rember yourself enabled. that usually causes issues.
