Use of Ford Logo by Car Clubs - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I was wondering what some of the Ford related Car Clubs around the country are doing with the use of the Blue Oval Ford Badge on club merchandise, badges, logos etc.

Although I haven't investigated myself, others in my club have and it seems we are unable to use the Blue Oval Ford Logo.

Can anyone help with suggestions?

Yep you have to go through Ford to get approval for use of trademarked logos, as did our club. Also, any new designs will have to be approved before your club can start using them.

You know how at car shows you get guys from the sticker stores selling Ford, Holden, etc stickers exactly the same as the genuine article.

I've asked these guys who also print them up and none of them have ever received permission from the manufacturer to use their logos. They say, we are just advertising their product so why should they care? I guess so maybe you'ld get a few legal letters if you had a sticker that says Holden (with the genuine logo) sux or something like that.

I was interested because of the stickers we had printed for our website. Not that we've used other companies logos in our designs.

Cant really see the Ford legal people chasing you down and locking you up for copyright infringement, just make sure you dont make any money of the logo's
