Vale Forte

Whilst at the Barry Road Gates last Wednesday I was fortunate enough to see quite a few AV's

Not one of the what would appear to be entry level units had the name Forte

The only name plate I could see was Falcon

Falcon appears to be the new entry level

They sicken of the calm, who know the storm

GP did say he had driven a "Forte" in a previous thread though... and you'd think he would know...unless he's messing with our minds...

It's better to remain quiet and let people think you are a fool then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

There is no FORTE.

The base model will be called FALCON.

That is all that I have heard for the last month or so from our guys in the know.

"FORTE" only means something to those who know it is the base model.

Why not start with FALCON, then go to FUTURA, then FAIRMONT...

Makes sense to me.

FALCON

Seems like Ford are trying to make people identify with Falcon as a brand rather than specific models like Forte / Futura etc etc.

Probably a good way to improve brand image and make buyers feel better about their cars. IE: They don't drive a Forte (base model) they drive a Falcon.

I never liked Forte. I think Falcon would be classier. But lets make Futura go upperclass by making it renamed Falcon Ghia.

Falcon Ghia? What would that do for the 'prestige' of a Fairlane Ghia?
