The Victorian Poohlice's motto is 'Uphold The Right'. To which I reflect:
1. Uphold the right to frisk motorist's wallets
2. Uphold the right to commit crimes provided you don't break the speed limit in that stolen car
3. Uphold the right to conspire with the TAC to lie, distort statistics, and blame everything on speeding
4. Uphold the right to blame speed even though coronial inquiries find roads and drivers are to blame
I'm sure many others here can think up a few more. Let's keep this as a fun thing - a way to vent our frustrations.

Yes, I am sensitive about these things, it's not funny and it's not clever. I am venting my frustrations. Other than being killed (obviously) I have had to do all these things.

I have no doubt that you have done these things, one of my best friends is a cop and has done many of these things too. I don't envy him and I dont envy you, they are crappy, thankless jobs. However there is a large amount of police out there who bend the laws to suit themselves and do it in such a way that the public see it as one law for us and one law for them.
Police are there to protect and uphold the law but, when they openly flaunt it, the joe public like myself and many others feel that they are just out to make money off us. Police should lead by example, something that is sadly lacking in many, many cases.
I don't blame you for being sensitive about it (and I know it is not all police, probably just a minority) but as ordinary citizens we too are sensitive about the hypocacy of it all.
