Victorian ADSL users stranded
TELSTRA'S Victorian ADSL customers, who are still digesting the news of a price restructure, have been hit by widespread outages.
Telstra internet spokesman Stuart Gray said about 70 per cent of Victorian users had been affected by the outages, which began last Friday.
Mr Gray said after two outages of between 30 and 40 minutes that day, downtime for Victorian ADSL continued as follows:
Monday afternoon - 50 minutes
Tuesday afternoon - two hours
Wednesday afternoon - from 3pm to 8pm for some users, 10pm for others
Thursday - from 11am to 7pm
Mr Gray said a software problem was responsible for the fault and vendor technicians would look into the cause once the network was online.
There were no plans for compensation for users.
"We look at it on a case-by-case basis ... we will review things once it's back up," Mr Gray said.
You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen. It said, 'Parking Fine.'So that was nice.
