VIN/CHASSIS No. how to translate

Can some one help by telling how to translate the VIN/CHASSIS No. code please.
What does the AAA Stand for, K obviously reefers to 1989 but how and the P has me beat, what words would you use to describe the vehicle with this VIN/CHASSIS No. any help appreciated.

try again..... thks blue much appreciated, can you tell me the formula, if k = 1989 does l =1990 etc, and p = April how do you work that out.
