Hi People, Today I received an email from someone called Sean which contained a virus. My Virus checker - Norton Antivirus was out of date (by 3 days) and didn't pick it up. Subsequently all those in my address book will have gotten at least a couple of emails from my address. Some ISP's have returned some emails with their virus scanning but a lot will have gotten through.

Firstly if you have an email titles" I love you", "You are so sweet" or something along those lines, dont open it. Some even have no sender in the 'To' feild. The email contains files with a .scr and .exe file type.

If your Virus scanner hasn't picked it up then please don't open it, and delete the email right away. Also make sure it doesn't just go to the deleted folder.

oh bugger i got one of those (not from you) the other day was supposed to be a screen saver and i opened it....BUGGER!!!!!!

what does it do? doesnt seem to be anything wrong with my computer...yet...

it shuts down a list of processes dude, such as your security programs, virus checkers, etc.. If you are running XP, hit ctrl+alt+dlt, and see if the task manager stays open.. if i opens, then quickly closes again, you have the virus.

It's a pain in the bumm, other virus titles are "Check this out" or "Check your cicle of friends" and stuff.... be aware...

well maybe our virus checker busted it...task manager runs as happy as larry...though who larry is i dont know...

I got some crap that said "someone at work has a crush on you" and "you have a nice smile" I deleted them straight away of course! Havnt people learnt by now not to open strange email attatchments or download from links tou get in unusual emails!

for those that have an @fordforums.com email address the server should catch it and kill it prior to it getting in your email box. if the server is having a large load of mail coming through it sometimes will allow one or two to slip. This is rare, but has happened.

So for those of you that have an @fordforums.com email address and you get this on that account let me know and I will make sure that it does not slipthrough once again.
