VY- out and about

Got my first glimpse of two VY's this morning heading up the highway on a truck. I have been keeping an open mind on the VY, trying to imagine what they might look like in the flesh. After seeing them today (and this is purely a superficial observation because obviously there is a lot more to a car than what is on the outside) I have decided that I am not a fan of the rear end. I will no doubt become used to it once they are running around on the roads but is not something I liked upon first sight. The BA is a much better balanced design.

I like the VY interior though. Really nice dash gauges too.

My concern with the VY is not styling-related, but I struggle to say any meaningful differences to VX below the skin. Holden, with its current cynicism, seems to be handing market share to Ford on a platter.

A couple things listed in the paper here was increased oil capacity + improved camshaft bearings to shift service intervals to 15000k's and the standard V6 power increased to 190 kw..Is that a misprint????

The 190 kW bit is definitely a misprint! The other claims sound right.
