Clicky clicky here for previous ride! I still miss her!
what is it with people and wanting big wheels? they are bloody heavy, give a crap ride and cost heaps more!!!!! you get better roadholding from 17s (for the same width) than 18s, 19s etc, due to the lower unsprung weight - the only benefit of big wheels is it allows you to fit bigger brakes, but it would be easier for ford to make drilled and slotted rotors to fit the 17s then design bigger discs.
commos get big wheels because of their gaping wheel arches that require monster wheels to make the car look right - there is a 300kW GTS that comes in to my work that has the factory 19s and about 10cm of ride height, but the tops of the tyres are still visible - looks low but i have 15s on my car and the rear tyres sit j-u-s-t under the guards and it still has more ground clearance than the GTS (its only lowered two inches)
