In the courier mail today they reckon that the standard V6 makes 190kw. They added that this wasn't official yet but it's a bit of a worry isn't it?

On the Holden Media site it says that the V-6's (NA and SC) make the same numbers as they did in VX (152KW and 171KW)

YEp its not true, the V6 will retain current power output, Vy II different story though.

Yep VY 11 will make about 190kw stock but not VY1.

Also interesting that the new 235kw Gen 3 is only available in SV8 and SS models and Berlinas,Calais,Statesman etc keep VXs 225kw. This is very good for Fords new 220 in Ghia,Fairlane etc although with VY2 Gen 4 will arrive.

Actually all Gen II VY's will be 235kw. alot of people have been quotong 225's for the berlina calais but apparently not the case.

Motor has driven them all at launch and they say the official quote is 225kw because for 235 they need the louder exhaust which does'nt suit luxy models?

Yes i am aware, a dealer from ls1.com, has stated (he was also at the launch) that they will all be the same now, originally it was going to be like this but now they decided to keep them the same .
