The new V6's can't come soon enough. Thank god we can all bury that horrible lump of buicks.
They have contradicted themselves a few times..
"The SV8 and SS are retained, but their 5.7-litre V8 has been upgraded to 250kW, while the Caprice has 245kW V8-power."
"Along with a new exhaust and bigger air intake, it's now good for 250kW at 5600rpm and 470Nm at 4800rpm in the SS, SV8 and Caprice, although Berlina and Calais get a 235kW version and the Statesman a 245kW unit."
Looks like the XR6 finally has a Holden competitor after 12? years. More power than the NA XR6 (by 8kw) but the XR6 still has 40Nm more torque (380Nm vs 340Nm).
The 190kw SV6 with six speed manual looks like a good buy - I wonder how much it weighs???

Agreed, pity it looks so shit though. I liked the look of the VY much better than the VZ. It looks too weird looking for my liking.

It will be interesting to see where the SV6 is priced i.e. similar to the XR6 N/A or XR6T. It will be a good competitor to the XR6 N/A and as other suggusted may encouage Ford to do something about its current power rating. On the other hand if the new SV6 is priced too close to the XR6T, I can see many (die hards not encluded)choosing it over Ford's boosted 6.
